The Green Fest was organized for the first time in 2013 in ecopark Varna and it was accepted with great public interest. The aim of the festival is to acquaintance the general public with the diversity of the ornamental plants, to meet the amateurs and professionals in the area of green ideas and the production and growing of ornamental plants as well as with the existing nurseries and garden centers for ornamental plants. In the first issue of the Green Fest participated 16 companies. During the Green fest were constructed 9 expositional, 5 demonstrational and 4 commercial areas.
In 2015 the Green Fest (The Festival of the green ideas) was in May in South Park, Sofia. It consisted in three interrelated events: International conference “The green city – imaginary and real”; the Green fest 2015 and an exhibition of green and sustainable urban spaces projects “The Green city – Bulgaria”.
